There are many resources available in our community, but
these resources are often not utilized because people do not
know they exist or how to access them. Individuals and
agencies expend considerable time and energy in attempting
to locate resources with varying degrees of success. Lack
of awareness of resources also frequently results in
unnecessary duplication and under-utilization of existing
services. Many communities have recognized the benefit of
community information systems and efforts are to focus on
the development and maintenance of resource lists through a
web based data system to allow anyone within the community
to access information.
